I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies from Buena Vista University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. I am a member of the American Counselors Association.
The most rewarding experiences I have had as a therapist are when I witness clients transform into versions of themselves that are rooted in who they truly are at their core as human beings. I believe everyone carries a secret set of tools with them full of positive attributes, strengths, and reasons for hope, whether they are aware of it or not. I work collaboratively with clients with the assumption that they are the experts on themselves and their experiences, while I hold the expertise in techniques and ways of establishing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to process difficult feelings, learn, grow, and succeed, whatever their ideas of “success” may be.
Are you feeling stifled by anxiety, depression, grief, the fallout from traumatic experiences, or a mixture of all of these? I work with clients using an integrative approach that most saliently utilizes aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness training, narrative therapy, as well as others, to overcome such challenges. Ultimately, I meet clients where they are to understand who they truly are as people within the context of their life experiences to help them achieve their goals collaboratively.
When I am not helping clients, I can be found spending time with friends and family, reading, playing way too much Mario Kart, watching my favorite shows, and playing with my cat, Sinatra.
