I began my professional journey by receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Grand View University, then furthered my education at Northwestern University, where I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling. I have over 10 years of experience working in human services and helping others. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and a National Certified Counselor.
I work teens (age 14+) and adults of all ages. I have experience helping clients address a variety of concerns, including behavioral issues, anxiety, stress, depression, and lack of motivation. My style of therapy is very laid back and open. I have a warm and bubbly personality, and strive to help my clients feel comfortable and welcomed. I create a nonjudgmental atmosphere so that my clients can be free to be themselves. I use an integrative approach to therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered, and Motivational Interviewing. I am always open for a challenge and am full of knowledge and resources.
Outside of work I can be found spending time with my family, singing karaoke, cuddling with my dogs, embarrassing my kids, and baking yummy treats.
